Passugg, 17th March 2016 – Increased recognition of both English and German programs at the Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality (SSTH), a member of EHL Group, offers new opportunities for graduates.

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts - Western Switzerland (HES-SO) has announced the recognition of 90 ECTS credits for the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Hospitality Management (English program) and the Dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice/Hôtelier-Restaurateur HF (German program) at SSTH. This recognition opens the doors for graduates wishing to further their academic studies. Starting with the graduating class of 2018, it will allow young students to pursue a Bachelor degree in only 3 semesters, within the EHL Group at SSTH.

SSTH has been a pioneer in this review and credit recognition process, and speaks to the quality of the school’s programs. “This is a wonderful and concrete acknowledgement of the significant evolutions we have introduced to the SSTH programs over the last few years”, commented Michel Rochat, CEO of EHL Group. “This confirms the position of SSTH as the leader in vocational education for the hospitality industry and, most importantly, provides added value to our students.”

Knut Rupprecht, Director of SSTH added: “The practical aspects of our curriculum have undoubtedly become a benchmark in the sector, and we are delighted by this revaluation of our programs which recognizes the highest quality of all academic aspects as well.”
